My Move Counselling provides a range of addiction recovery services to people who wish to remain in their home environment while seeking help with the effects of addiction. For those who need support with alcohol, drugs, or gambling, Gate Recovery can help regain and rebuild a better quality of life. The Gate Recovery does not focus on the 12-step AA process or the Disease model of addiction, but rather on the principles of recovery

Within this treatment programme, support is offered to family members who are seeking support while living with the effects of addiction.

TESTIMONIALS

"My focus was on getting my husband's alcohol therapy started not realising the effect it had on me. How I had enabled him and for a while I was in denial myself of his struggles with alcohol recovery. Through family support at mymove counselling I was better able to understand and learn more about addiction and alcohol recovery, the effects it had on me and my children. Having the support was great and I also became better able to manage myself"
